Editorial Policy
JMST follows a structured editorial process to ensure the quality, integrity, and transparency of published research.
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial screening by the editorial office to assess suitability within the journal’s scope, compliance with submission guidelines, and ethical standards. Manuscripts that do not meet basic requirements may be returned without external review.
Manuscripts that pass initial screening are assigned to an appropriate editor based on subject expertise. The editor oversees the peer review process and makes recommendations based on reviewer evaluations.
Final publication decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief or a designated Associate Editor, taking into account reviewer comments, scientific merit, and relevance to the journal.
Editorial decisions are independent and are not influenced by the publisher, sponsors, or any external organization.
Editors and editorial board members must declare any conflicts of interest and are excluded from handling manuscripts in which such conflicts exist. In such cases, the manuscript is reassigned to an independent editor.
